Life is Grand, Life is Tough but so are you, Life is Beautiful, Life is Sweet and Life is An Adventure!
I am excited to tell you that Cents Of Style has just come out with a new line of shirts, the Life Is series. I was honored when they asked me if I would like to help announce this new line, by telling my own “Life Is” story. I thought the shirts were adorable, and I have always wanted to try a Cents Of Style shirt so I decided to go for it. Let me just say it is pretty clear I am NOT a model. Trying to take a flattering photo of myself, makes me feel awkward on so many levels lol.

I had 5 shirts to pick from: Life is Grand, Life is Tough but so are you, Life is Beautiful, Life is Sweet and Life is An Adventure! Honestly I can identify with every single one of these shirts… maybe I should just get all five and have and say they are for my multiple personalities lol. All jokes aside, when it came down to it one shirt was perfect for me. Drum roll please… I picked the Life is Beautiful shirt. 
Those of you who now me personally might wonder why I would pick that shirt? My life sometime seems to consist of one challenge after another. There are a whole list of things that I could share with you that are far from beautiful. Some days I need a shirt that says, ” Life is hard, Life kinda sucks today, Life is kicking my butt today.” Maybe I should create my own line of shirts. Yet somehow I think customer support might be a bit difficult when you get an angry customer, because their bulk order of Life kinda sucks today, was late. Oops once again I am off topic, back to why I picked Life is Beautiful.
One thing I have learned about myself over the years is that you have a choice. You do not always have a choice in what happens in life. But you do have a choice of how you react or handle it. I naturally tend to have a goofy personality and try to have a positive attitude. But sometimes I get discouraged, like panic attack how am I going to get through this, kind of discouraged. It is at moments like this, that I tend to turn to prayer, to faith and hoping for a brighter day.
SO through my pain, I found life is beautiful!
As the skinny, sick little girl inside the hospital bed who was now bald and in incredible pain. I found beauty in the girl I shared my hospital room with, she was sicker than I was and had been there longer than me. But she helped me smile, and would smell my food as I ate it, something she was no longer able to do. Her name was Monica and I often wonder what happened to her after I left? I soon found being a bald as a 5th grade girl was tough, kids can be pretty mean. But I then found the beauty in making people laugh, laughing brings people together. It closes that gap of misunderstanding and allows you to have something in common. SO through my pain, I found life is beautiful!
Fast forward to the next 26 years of my life… dang am I really 36 how did that happen. This journey has not always been easy, I have had some pretty rotten days, weeks even months over the years. Yes one thing has always stayed the same… you can find beauty in all things. Some days you have look harder than others, but there is always beauty! Life really is beautiful!
